Christina is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of West Virginia and a National Certified Counselor. She graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Family Studies, and from Waynesburg University with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling. Christina has 13 years of experience working with adults who experience a variety of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship or parenting difficulties, trauma, alcohol and drug use, suicidal ideation, anger management, relapse prevention and legal problems.
Christina uses a laid-back, conversational and person-centered approach to her therapy, while using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention and Trauma Informed Care. She believes that a trusting relationship between the client and therapist is crucial in building rapport, and likes to create a safe space for her clients to feel comfortable opening up about the most difficult topics in their life. She is passionate about helping others identify their current stressors, triggers and conflicts in order to develop healthier coping strategies to improve overall quality of life.
